AS-Motor offers catered technology to care for ornamental lawns, gardens, meadow orchards, and cobblestone areas. AS-Motor’s mulching mowers cut high grass easily, leaving an attractive green area behind without the time and cost-intensive process of cuttings disposal. AS-Motor also offers solutions for producing forage for small livestock breeders.
In addition to traditional collection bag lawn mowers, AS-Motor’s mulching mowers provide private users with several advantages. Mulching mowers cut grass several times so that it disappears as invisible mulch in the turf. This process not only avoids the time and cost of grass disposal; the organic mulched material remains on the lawn as a natural fertiliser.
Often times, private gardens, orchards and lawns of weekend homes cannot be mowed every week. AS-Motor’s Allmähers and ride-on Sherpas are designed to easily cut high grass and dense growth.
AS-Motor’s walk-behind disc mower is an excellent tool for small livestock breeders and owners. The disc mower cleanly cuts grass and places it neatly in a row for easy collection.
Today, I finally got to pick up my AS 940 Sherpa XL B&S from Leinweber Motorgeräte in Neuhof. From the initial consultation on site to the final briefing, I received professional support throughout. The demonstration directly on my orchard meadow was particularly positive – all my questions were answered immediately. Despite the slightly marshy terrain, the Sherpa impressed with its low weight and powerful propulsion. The optional accessories with LED lighting and snow plow were another plus point for me: now I can reliably clear snow from my large yard in winter.

On the recommendation of AS-Motor I checked the AS 800 FreeRider at the dealer store Mähler in Gossenheim and then bought it there. Just right for my ranch in Lower Franconia. My previous lawn tractor used to clog and could not cope with high grass, but I’d like to leave the grass as flowering meadows. I particularly like the value of the workmanship: everything is made of sheet steel. That holds up better than the plastic mowers.

My first contact with the brand was via the Internet. After the demonstration, I decided to buy AS 901 SM - I was impressed with the machine's performance – it is perfect for my orchard. A year after that, I became the owner of one more AS machine - AS 531 2T ES MK B for my backyard. I guess that's the best review and speaks for itself.

The AS 28/4 Enduro and the AS 65 Scout, which I bought second-hand, are the machines that proved their quality and gave me the confidence to go and buy my first new machine, the AS 901 SM. The power and manoeuvrability of the AS 901 SM is something that makes me approach every job with a smile. These three AS-Motor machines got me even to the point, where I want to start my own landscaping business.

Today the Sherpa was used for the first time - PHANTASTIC, is a really great device, stable, precise, safe, makes an absolutely confident impression. I have great pleasure with it. Best regards.

As a private user on a "Gütle" (garden plot) at the foot of the Alb, we use the AS Sherpa 915 2WD with great enthusiasm. Whether it's high grass, scrub or border edge - effortless work with the wonderful Swabian AS ride-on mower is anywhere possible and it's also great fun.

Well, we had nothing to do with 1 metre high grass before we bought our AS-Motor machine. We made our experiences in our wilderness with thistles, bramble hedge, young trees with 8 cm diameter: we simply drove through...and the stuff was flat !!!! Far above your practical test. Yes, that is Swabian quality! We know what the machine can do and we won't give it away again, our little "Ferrari"AS 800 FreeRider, Best regards from the Dieterle family, Allgau region

We use the AS 940 Sherpa RC to maintain areas that are difficult to access. We are thrilled every time with the slope capability and the easy control.
– Dominic Schäfer (Alsfeld-Lingelbach, Germany)
Our AS 73 works even with high and woody growth thanks to the 2 blade speeds. Great!

Ornamental lawns in both private gardens and public facilities can be maintained with either mulching or collecting mowers. When mulching, the finely-shredded cuttings remain on the surface as natural fertiliser, while collection bags help the operator transport cuttings to a disposal point. Lawns are usually mowed once per week to a cutting height of 40–50 mm, from a maximum height of 15 cm.
Flower meadows are structurally rich habitats that are extremely important for insects, wild bees, and species that depend on flowers. The key is not to mow frequently, but to cut at the right time. Before the flowering phase, the vegetation can quickly reach heights of 30–40 cm. After that, maintenance is carried out at longer intervals, usually once or twice a year.
This form of extensive use requires machines that can safely cut tall, heterogeneous vegetation without putting unnecessary strain on the area. Clean cuts, controlled deposition, and an adapted driving style are essential for preserving plant populations and enabling regeneration.
Mulching is a process by which grass cuttings are shredded several times into a fine mulch, which then remains on the surface as natural fertiliser. Special mulching blades with a double cutting plane and a circular mulching unit are used on ornamental lawns, while cross-blade systems or flail mowers are primarily used in high grass.
Cobblestones and uneven paved areas can be treated for weeds, without the use of chemicals, using mechanical methods. The agile AS 30 is designed for work close to edges, water inlet channels, manholes and on traffic islands with posts and signs.
